The fastest way from idea to a testable trading bot is to describe it. Setup.Cash's text-to-strategy turns a plain-English description into a complete, validated strategy blueprint — instruments, timeframe, entries, exits, risk, and indicators — that you can review, backtest, and paper trade.

What You Can Say

You do not need special syntax. Examples that work well:

  • "EMA 20/50 crossover on EURUSD 15m, ATR stop 1.5x, 2R target, skip high-impact news."
  • "Mean reversion on BTCUSD 1h: buy when RSI < 30, exit at RSI 55, risk 1% per trade."
  • "Trend pullback on the Nasdaq using my Volume DNA Scanner indicator."

That last example matters: if you mention one of your own custom indicators by name, the AI uses your indicator by reference instead of inventing a built-in.

What You Get Back

The generator produces a full graph that passes the builder checklist:

  • Instrument(s) and timeframe (single market — all forex, all crypto, or all stocks)
  • Both entry sides (long and short) with non-identical triggers
  • Indicators and condition/logic chains
  • Risk with stop loss and take profit configured

It opens directly in the blueprint builder so you can inspect every node, tweak it, and save.

Validated, Not Just Generated

A generated strategy is only useful if it is valid. The platform enforces the same rules a hand-built strategy must pass: a directed acyclic graph, compatible node ports, dual-sided entries, and a real risk configuration. If something is off, it is repaired or surfaced — you do not get a broken graph.

From Generation to Confidence

Text-to-strategy is the start of the workflow, not the end. After you generate:

  1. Backtest it to see how the logic behaved historically — read our backtesting guide.
  2. Paper trade it to rehearse execution with live prices and no risk.
  3. Add risk controls — stops, targets, max open trades, news and spread guards.
  4. Go live in demo money, simulator, or real money once you trust it.

Why This Beats a Blank Canvas

A blank builder is intimidating. Starting from a described strategy gives you a concrete, editable structure to react to — it is far easier to refine a draft than to invent one. And because the output is a real blueprint (not a black box), you keep full control.

Responsible Use

Generated strategies are drafts based on your description, not predictions or guarantees. Always backtest and paper trade before risking capital, and keep your risk rules conservative. Used well, text-to-strategy compresses hours of node-wiring into seconds so you can spend your time on what matters: testing and improving the idea.

Try it in the strategy builder — describe your setup and review the blueprint it builds.

Not financial advice. Trading involves risk. Use backtesting and paper trading before risking real capital.
