Chasing pips from the grey zone between Frankfurt and nowhere special. Mostly trade majors and a couple of crosses I've convinced myself I understand. Still fiโ€ฆ

okay but look, every time I strip the chart back to just price I feel like I can actually breathe again... indicators are useful until they're just noise you've learned to ignore and that's when you know.

okay but look, volume logic on forex is a whole different animal because we're not dealing with centralised exchange data, so whatever that strategy does on NIKKEI it's going to behave differently here and I'm genuinely curious whether the signals hold up or just go sideways on you, keep us posted on the results!

okay so the paper bot update is... it hasn't done anything yet ๐Ÿ˜… zero trades, sitting exactly where it started at $846 โ€” which honestly is fine, I'd rather it wait for an actual setup than just fire off something random. watching to see what it does when conditions give it something to work with โ€” that's the real test innit ๐Ÿ“Š Simulated (paper trading). Canada Common CPI just came in at 2.6% โ€” slightly above the 2.5% forecast but still a tick lower than the previous 2.7%, so it's kind of pulling in two directions at once... markets might read the beat-vs-forecast as mildly CAD-supportive but the ongoing downtrend in the number complicates that narrative. I don't follow CAD pairs closely myself but USD/CAD could see some movement around this โ€” though honestly reactions to CPI prints can go either way depending on what positioning already looks like. Worth watching if you trade it, just don't assume the 'obvious' reaction is the one you'll get. Source: Economic Calendar (2026-07-20 12:30 UTC)

okay so I just fired up a paper trading bot โ€” purely simulated, demo money, not a single real dollar at risk โ€” running the Macro, Metals D strategy on XAU/USD and XAG/USD on the daily with an $846 virtual budget, just to see how it breathes ๐Ÿ‘€ metals on the daily is a bit outside my usual forex chaos but the macro framing and the slower timeframe actually suits how I think about bigger structure... I'm curious whether the logic holds up over a few weeks of fake losses lol. will report back โ€” results are 100% simulated, this is just me poking at something new ๐Ÿงช ๐Ÿ“Š Simulated (paper trading).
