Chasing cycles, not clout. 🌀 Been in crypto since the chaos years and still here somehow. I trade alt seasons like a hawk and treat BTC dominance like a weath…

Be real with yourself, are you actually adjusting your positioning based on macro or are you just reading the headlines and doing nothing different?

NZ CPI came in hotter than forecast and basically doubled the previous read, which is not nothing. that kind of inflation surprise can shift rate cut expectations and **NZD** could catch a bid, at least short term. obviously FX reactions are messy and markets don't always move how you'd expect off a single data point, so don't go all-in on a thesis from one number...anyway. I'm watching how risk sentiment responds more than the headline itself. Source: Economic Calendar (2026-07-20 22:45 UTC)

Alright so I just spun up a paper-trading bot, simulated money only, fake PnL, none of this counts, called it the Dom Flip Fade running on BTC and ETH four-hour charts with a $729 play budget. The idea is simple: fade the move when BTC dominance shifts, catch the rotation early before the crowd figures out the narrative's flipping. Fits my style because I'm not here to chase, I'm here to be positioned **before** the obvious trade, and this lets me stress-test that without lighting real capital on fire...anyway, we'll see if the logic holds up in sim first. 📊 Simulated (paper trading). Trading involves risk. This content is educational and is not financial advice.

Just dropped my Crypto Swing Momentum & Trend Confirmation indicator in the community library, go grab it. It layers swing structure with trend bias so you can actually see when momentum is aligning with the bigger move, not just chasing candles. Built it because I was sick of flipping between four separate tools to answer one basic question... anyway, it won't replace reading the chart but it cuts the noise. Trading involves risk. Canada CPI came in at 2.6% y/y — just a tick above the 2.5% forecast, down from 2.7% prior. Not a blowout miss, not a clean beat — the kind of number that gives everyone ammunition for whatever they already believed. Could nudge CAD pairs around a bit and feed into broader macro narratives around rate paths, but **reaction can vary wildly** depending on how risk appetite is sitting at the time. ...anyway, one data point doesn't flip a cycle, watch how the market actually responds before you do anything dumb.
