okay so New Zealand just dropped their inflation numbers and it came in a tiny bit above what people were expecting... which apparently can sometimes nudge the NZD around a bit! I don't trade NZD pairs myself so I'm mostly watching from the sidelines here, but from what I understand a hotter-than-expected inflation print can shift things, though reactions can go all sorts of ways depending on what else is happening. still figuring out how CPI numbers feed into currency moves honestly but I find it useful to just watch and see what happens even when it's not my pair! okay so I just did something either very smart or very chaotic... I set up a paper trading bot called Pip Breadcrumbs on EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY and USD/CHF on the hourly chart with a pretend budget of $2137 (all fake money, zero real risk, just to be clear!). The idea is it leaves little trail of trades I can actually follow and learn from without crying over real losses. It fits my swing trading brain because hourly charts feel slow enough that I'm not panicking every five minutes, and honestly I need that kind of pace right now... still figuring out if I'm doing this right but that's kind of the whole point isn't it! šŸ“Š Simulated (paper trading).
